PostprocessingNC postprocessors are required to reformat the GTWorks CLFILE output file into specific commands that can be interpreted by individual machine tools in the shop. The GTWorks CLFILE APT output is in ASCII format and should be readable by most post-processors on the market, allowing you to select the postprocessor of your choice. GrayTech recommends Software Magic (Intellipost 2000 - the open market version of Auto-trols GPost software) at 561-433-3018, fax (561) 561-433-3281, or www.aii.com. You could also contact ICAM Technologies for post-processors, used by many of the leaders in the CAD/CAM marketplace. Their phone number in Quebec Canada is 514-697-8033, fax 514-697-8621, or www.icam.com. APT SOURCE OUTPUTFeatures: Geometry and tool paths can be formatted into APT ASCII files. Selected geometry elements are tagged automatically, labeled graphically on the screen and defined with the APT language. Within seconds, hundreds of point, line, circle, conic, spline and surface definitions are generated. APT data output formats are suitable for use by APT3, APT4 and similar standardized APT processors. Benefits: Geometry definitions are written automatically by using the graphic geometry as a reference. Automatic labeling of geometry elements eliminates confusions and errors when relating geometry plots to the definition file. |
