Flame Cutting

Flame, laser, liquid-jet and similar cutting methods require specialized NC programming techniques to process jobs properly. The GrayTech NC flame-cutting option provides the features you need to cut sheets of metals, plastics, fabrics, papers and composites.

AUTOMATIC KERF CALCULATIONS

Features: Engineering design geometry can be used to produce NC machine tool motion for sheet manufacturing. After part nesting is completed, geometry curves are selected and the kerf offset size is set. The tool motion is then computed automatically by the NC system.

Benefits: Valuable time is saved because tool positions are generated automatically. Since calculations and input errors are reduced, NC operations become more reliable and lead time to production is reduced.

AUTOMATIC LEAD IN, LEAD OUT, AND CORNER LOOPING

Features: You control tool motion when entering and exiting a part boundary. Linear or circular entry and exit motion can be assigned and located with respect to the parts being processed. Automatic loops can be generated to preserve sharp external corners of the part.

Benefits: Time is saved because the system provides the control and flexibility required to generate specialized NC tool motion for nested sheets parts.
