In addition to varying image output by color, level and line font and weight, GTWorks incorporates advanced shading and hidden line removal capabilities. These features are fully integrated into the GTWorks database and menu structure; they can be incorporated into drawing production or product presentations.

SURFACE SHADING

Features: GTWorks provides sophisticated color shading for enhancing visualization or presentations. You can define surface characteristics for light source reflectivity, surface transparency and texture, while controlling ambient light intensity and multiple light source directions. You have flat, Gouraud, or Phong shading methods to choose from to produce different imaging effects, with or without perspective scaling. Also, finite element models can be shaded to produce presentation views of the analysis model.

Benefits: Your product's design is presented more clearly to management or your client because the model is more realistic.

HIDDEN LINE REMOVAL

Features: You can display or plot surfaced designs in perspective with hidden lines removed from view. This feature can be applied to the model as a whole or to selected area or components within the model. Additional options are provided to control the appearance of surface edge display. As with shading, hidden line removal can be applied to finite element models for presentation views of the analysis model.

Benefits: Viewing a model with the hidden lines removed makes the model easier to interpret and facilitates communications.
